2: And what precisely do you plan to use this for?

[Pause.]

2: You don't know, do you?

[Pause.]

[Pause.]

1: Don't you dare say 'I told you so!!'
2: [mildly put out] Why not?
1: Because then we'll get into an argument about who really told who what considering we don't really exist and yet we do and we're not really two people and all that -
3:                                                   Jazz.
2: Will you be quiet??
3: Well, you were beginning to forget me!

[1 and 2 pause, looking at each other.]

1: Who exactly -
2:                         are you?

[Both glare at each other.]

3: Oh...this might take a long time...

[Pause. 1 settles down cross-legged and ready for a story. 2 rolls eyes and leans back into the chair]

2: Go on then. Not like we're going anywhere.
3: Well...okay. [Gestures to each in turn.] I'm you, you're me, you're you and you're me two. I mean...too. We are one -
1: and we are many?
3: [Pouts.] Hey! that was my line!!
1: I don't see why you get all the good ones.
3: Don't you see? You get the good ones too! But it's my job!!
1: Which means it's my job too.

[3 looks dumbfounded at this new realisation.]

2: [Rolls eyes.] Oh boy -
1, 3: Danny boy?
2:                                     - people are going to think we're insane.

[All look at each other. All burst into laughter.]
